Downtown Date Night: Printer’s Alley
Cory and I love to go on date nights, especially when we can do a location-hop that include: drinks, apps, meal, entertainment. The other week, we had a fabulous time downtown and each place surrounded famous Printer’s Alley. We did 4 stops total but each of these are a destination on their own!
Stop #1: Dream Hotel. It really is a dream…super swanky but fun vibe. We went to Stateside Kitchen for their happy hour. Fantastic. Highly recommend the Blackberry Margarita and the Warm Crab Dip. Word on the street (aka their website) they have two secret/underground night clubs…we’ll be back to check them out.
Stop #2: Black Rabbit. We’ve passed this place several times and have always wanted to go because it looks both old school and hip. Highly recommend stopping in for happy hour and we will be back for dinner. You MUST get their Rabbit Rolls, they are to die for. They also make a fantastic old fashioned and our servers were incredibly friendly and took time to walk us through each dish, which Cory and I always appreciate!
Stop #3: Skull’s Rainbow Room. Skull’s is an institution in Printer’s Alley and it’s usually hopping! Wednesday night was no exception; they were packed. We had a prime booth, right next to the bar with a front row view of the stage; highly recommend. You can drink, eat and enjoy for as long as you want. They have a robust menu; we ordered pretty rich (almost winter-time type food) and it was excellent: lobster bisque and boeuf en croute.
Stop #4: Bobby Hotel has one of our favorite rooftop bars in Nashville. It’s not too big or pretentious yet there’s always something fun happening. This summer, they have a Wednesday Rooftop Music series on the rooftop! I’m not going to lie, going to things like this helps keep us young – we love the vibe!
