Honey Garlic Butter Chicken Tenders

This is an easy, delicious, prepare ahead weeknight meal that my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed! This chicken recipe could easily be used as a filling for lettuce-wrap “tacos.” You could also use the extra chicken (if you have any!) as the protein for a fresh salad and also included in a paleo friendly chicken-salad with cranberries and walnuts.

Honey Garlic Butter Chicken Tenders

So delicious and flavorful; EASY for a weeknight, family pleasing supper!

  • 1.5 pounds chicken tenders
  • 1 T olive oil
  • 3 T ghee or clarified butter
  • 4 tsp garlic, minced
  • 3 T raw honey
  • 2 T apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 tsp each of sea salt & fresh ground pepper, to taste
  • 4 T fresh parsley, chopped

  1. In a medium glass bowl, whisk butter, garlic, vinegar and honey. Add chicken tenders & sprinkle with salt & pepper.

  2. Toss / stir tenders / marinade until well coated. Let marinate for about 30 minutes or longer is fine.

  3. I cooked mine outside on the burner of our gas grill to keep the extra smoke/fragrance outside.

  4. Heat olive oil in the skillet over medium heat.

  5. Add tenders in a single layer and cook until golden brown on both sides. About 8 minutes total.

  6. Sprinkle with fresh chopped parsley.

  7. I served this with oven-roasted broccoli (evoo, s&p @400 degrees for @25 minutes until charred) and brown rice noodles with more fresh parsley on top.
