Giving Tuesday – 5 Amazing Organizations You Can Support!

Behold, I am doing a new thing;
now it springs forth, do you not perceive it?
I will make a way in the wilderness
and rivers in the desert. Isaiah 43:19

I’m listing the 5 Organizations we support here for a quick view! But! If you want to read more about our experiences and background with them, I’ve written more below 🙂

New Day Orphanage, Zambia

New Day Orphanage is a place that means SO much to Cory & me. We had the privilege of going there 7 years ago on a missions trip with our church Grace Point NWA and volunteering. New Day is an orphanage that provides the children with a Christian worldview and a quality education to vulnerable orphans, all while retaining their Zambian culture; they are bringing up a generation to know Jesus and can spread the Gospel of Christ through an entire country.

We have been supporting New Day financially for the last 7 years and most recently, started sponsoring Michala! Their most pressing need right now – is to raise $ for a new car for the orphanage. Any amount will help, start with $1, $5 or whatever you feel led to donate!

Also, sign up for their monthly newsletters, they are a true blessing & encouragement and keep us up to date on happenings there & any new needs they may have! You can also follow them on Facebook here.

Free for Life

I have been connected to Free for Life through my Franklin blogger friend Caroline, she has a phenomenal blog called Growth Spurts. As she is partnering with Free for Life, she learned about Hannah and that we have the opportunity to raise money specifically to support her!

Our goal is to raise $5,000 to support Hannah … if you feel called to donate (even $1!) please send via Venmo to Caroline at @Caroline-Broadbent

Proverbs 12:10 Animal Rescue

“Proverbs 12:10 Animal Rescue is committed to ‘Helping His Helpless’ through quality care and healing, adoptions, and population control awareness.”

Adopting a pet is so important to Cory and me. When we got our first puppy, we searched the local shelter adoptions and found Jackson! Then, when we got Dolly it was because her mother had been found on the side of the road by one of our friends (pregnant and abandoned); she had 4 puppies and we wanted to give Dolly a home!

Y’all, there is so much pet neglect out there it is heartbreaking. Supporting organizations like Proverbs 12:10 is so important to help our helpless furry friends.

You can donate, purchase items off of the Amazon wishlist or become a foster family for some very precious animals! Volunteering is also an option (they have ways for adults and kids to help!).

Compassion International

This is an organization we have just recently started to support as of July 2020 and our child is Peter and he lives in Uganda! Compassion is SO important, as it helps children around the world have a better life through education, daily food and necessities being provided and even assisting their families! It is a blessing to us, to have a child we are able to support monthly, and pray over and communicate with (we can send him letters via post or electronically). Our boys love to discuss Peter and what he might be up to, too!

I have known this organization since I was a little girl and trust all it stands for and what it is doing globally. One of my childhood friends Courtney, was even able to meet the child she has supported since elementary school – truly amazing to see the impact in person, that her monthly donation had made!

Waves of Grace

There’s only one organization I’d run a 1/2-marathon for 😉 and this is it! This amazing non-profit was started by my neighbor & friend, Jenn Matwijec. They send cancer patients and their families on an all-expenses paid beach vacation to the Florida panhandle, to give them the gift of time together, respite from treatment and to soak in the waves and sunshine.
